Things That Never Happened in Gwoza
Things That Never Happened in Gwoza

Some history comes with lessons, only a wise man can make knowledge. This narrative is not fictional, but to judge that, let's pay attention.
In an unknown group, one boy’s future came through a true dream. After his HND, he spent some months in the NYSC service camp. He had lost his best hope and decided to be a cafe boy to manage his life. Immediately after these struggles, he had a call from his brother. One man put information in a group, that anyone that had done his school could send his documents for work.
He was feeling nothing for that because he didn’t know the person, but he just did it without putting any hope. One year later, he also had a call from Abuja, asking him that he had to come for an interview. Transportation for him was another case, but with blind eyes, he appeared before them. Nothing like a green light there, but he really tried for what he could do.
However, that also took him another few months, then he also received a call that he had to come again for a medical check-up. Everything went smoothly, he returned home and continued his normal life.
For the third time, another new call rang on his phone, the call that completely changed his life, and it’s from there his dream came to life. The first word he heard from the caller was: “Congratulations, you have been employed, you can come and start work.”
He completely moved to Abuja, his salary almost 400k. He was a small boy, life had taken a new turn, he built his kingdom with new moves. He married, he had one child, he had a car, and also a bike.
Our relationship with his friends, being a long time without meeting, we decided to meet at his crib. Wow, wonderful, it was amazing. He had been waiting for me since 10:00 am, due to some schedules, I had attended some events on my way to him.
Shortly after I branched into his sitting room, he welcomed me, and we started gisting about when last we met. His house looked beautiful, with modern property and luxurious ones. The drinks were very cool, and the food was serious. That time hunger vanished, and all my taste washed away. Joy and happiness played normal. After spending a couple of hours, I told him that maybe we would meet again later. My future started dancing, deciding to come closer to him. But how could I do that after all my home is not like his?
In Gwoza, we don’t have such great people. Selfishness and pride will never lift us to the next generation. Wait, I asked him, did you know the person? He said, he once needed to know him, but the man told him that he should not worry. Chai, that man is pure from God. When we were going out, he said, “This car is mine.” I said, “Oh bro, you really achieved life.”
Our beloved Gwoza people will never do that because they don’t want someone to develop. They only know themselves, they don’t care to help, that is why they can’t give someone work even in the local government. They are using tribe and religion for everything. Nepotism, tribalism, and corruption have all occupied the hearts of our people.
How many people that you know give work to Gwoza people in Abuja? State and others like international? No one, but not all. There are some people like John and Musa DPR, I don’t actually know their full names, but they are really helpful for Gwoza.
I’m talking about work. In your heart, who do you think will come and change our generation? Who has done such great work in Gwoza? How many people give work to Gwoza youths in Abuja? Please, if you know, let us know the man, we’ll praise him and pray for him. And you that have read this story, try and be a good helper. If it could be possible, raise your people, one day they’ll be your helper. Give without anticipating returns. Close your eyes and help people. God says “Help God and He will help you back.” How can you help God in this case? He has no farm, no house, the only way to do so is to help people. Help people and God will help you too. If you have power, don’t ever leave without raising at least five people.
